Can I use a flat iron on my natural hair?

Yes, you can. I suggest you use heat only when the hair is clean and use a cermac iron instead of a triditional flat iron. After shampooing, use a product that will coat the hair and protect it from heat. The Protective Mist Bodifier will work for this. Lightly spray it on the hair before drying and using the flat iron. Pressing oils are not necessary and can make the stiff. Use a very small amount of the Herbal Strengthener when the hair is dry and before using the ceramic iron.

Can I color my hair once my relaxer has grown out? My hair always broke off when I used color. I want to go natural but I still want to use color so I guess I will not be totally natural will I?

Hair breakage is usually what happens when hair color and relaxer are combined. It even happens when you wait the recommended two week between applying either one in most cases. This is another great thing about going natural. Once your hair is free of chemical relaxer you can use hair color on your hair with one less thing to worry about. I do caution that most hair color has chemicals in them. So no, you will not be totally natural but using hair color does not permanently straighten your hair texture. If you are going to have your hair colored I strongly suggest you go to a professional to have the service done and that you have your hair deeply conditioned every two weeks to avoid breakage.

My daughter has been wearing natural hair since her birth. She is now 14 years old and wants to wear a relaxer. I don't want her to have one. My husband and I have always encouraged our daughter to love and wear her natural hair. She likes her natural hair. She says that she wants a relaxer so that she can wear more styles. I believe that if I let her have a relaxer done she will regret it and wind up only wearing her hair in a ponytail. Do you have any suggestions?

14 is an instresting age. Teens have so much that they are dealing with. I would suggest you look at our hair gallery. There are several styles that I think a 14 year old would like. We will be putting up more styles. There are also magazines and websites that have styles fornatural hair. If this fails, you may also want to suggest she wears extension braids or twist. These styles can be very vercertile. Yes, I said extensions. I would rather extensions than a relaxer. This will let her see more vercility for styles without permanently changing the texture of her natural hair. I suggest you take her to a professional that performs No-knot extension braiding. This will protect her beautiful natural hair. There are a lot of braided/twisted styles that can be done in the same styles that are worn in relaxed hair. By the way, I agree about the pony tail but in most cases that ponytail turnes into a duck tail before long.

I have a thin spot at the top of my head that seems to be getting thinner. What do you suggest I do to stimulate more hair growth in that area? Right now, I am wearing a wig. Can I use mayonaise on my hair for conditioning and removing my perm?

No, I do not think that would be a good idea. Mayonaise is for sandwiches and salads. Once the hair has been permed/relaxed is cannot be reverted. That hair has been permanently changed. It sounds like you are trying to transition from perm to natural. If that is correct there are several ways that can be\done. Whatever way you choose to go natural, the most important step to do this is to use products that will provide moisturizing, conditioning and protection from breakage. TALIAH WAAJID is a complete moisture-based product system formulated for natural hair care. You can transition by shampooing and conditioning and Bodifiering your hair by-weekly and having your ends trimmed every 4 weeks. You can use a cermaic iron to style your hair. You can also have your hair braided, twisted or weaved while using the products and have your your ends trimed every 4 weeks or when the style is removed.
